Term
1-year term, renewable twice for a total of 3 consecutive years.
Conditions of Eligibility
- Must be IEEE Fellows.
- Cannot serve on the Fellow Evaluating Committee (FEC) or the Fellow Cohort Evaluating Committee (CFEC) at the same time.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead the committee's efforts to identify potential IEEE Fellows.
- Ensure the committee actively seeks out nominees, especially from underrepresented groups.
- Organize and facilitate committee meetings.
- Oversee the preparation of the FSC annual report, including:
- Diversity demographic data of the nominee pool.
- Summary of best practices used to identify Fellow nominees from underrepresented groups.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the FSC and other IEEE committees.
- Ensure compliance with IEEE diversity representation guidelines.
- Submit recommendations and reports to IEEE Fellow Committee leadership.
Travel
Is not required for this position.
Expected Meeting Attendance
Virtual committee meeting attendance will be requested for this position.
