Term
Serves a single two-year term with no eligibility for reappointment. The term aligns with the current President's tenure, except in extraordinary circumstances as outlined in the Bylaws.
1-year term, renewable for up to two additional terms, allowing a maximum of three consecutive years.

Primary Responsibilities
- Establish the award committee in accordance with the TABARC Manual and IEEE Awards Policies and Procedures.
- Solicit nominations from the BoG and AESS membership.
- Review nominations and recommend award recipients, ensuring no conflicts of interest with nominees or letters of recommendation. Notify nominators of any identified conflicts as needed.
- Ensure compliance with the guidelines outlined in the TABARC Manual and IEEE Awards Policies and Procedures.
- Send notification letters to both award recipients and non-recipients.
- Request nomination deadline extensions as needed.
- Inform the VP Awards of the final committee decision.
- Submit the AESS Award Selection Summary webform.

Is not required for this position.
Expected Meeting Attendance
Virtual committee meeting attendance may be requested for this position.
