Primary Responsibilities

  • Establish the award committee in accordance with the TABARC Manual and IEEE Awards Policies and Procedures.
  • Solicit nominations from the BoG and AESS membership.
  • Review nominations and recommend award recipients, ensuring no conflicts of interest with nominees or letters of recommendation. Notify nominators of any identified conflicts as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with the guidelines outlined in the TABARC Manual and IEEE Awards Policies and Procedures.
  • Send notification letters to both award recipients and non-recipients.
  • Request nomination deadline extensions as needed.
  • Inform the VP Awards of the final committee decision.
  • Submit the AESS Award Selection Summary webform.

Is not required for this position.

Expected Meeting Attendance
Virtual committee meeting attendance may be requested for this position.
