AESS Chapters

Chapters are located worldwide and provide a home for similarly-minded aerospace engineers. Please identify the Chapter you belong to and feel free to contact the Chapter Chair to get involved.

Would you like to start an AESS Chapter?

The IEEE Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society (AESS) supports a global network of chapters, facilitating professional development, networking, and collaboration among members. These chapters organize local activities, technical seminars, workshops, and conferences to promote the exchange of knowledge in aerospace and electronic systems. The chapters also play a crucial role in engaging students and young professionals, providing opportunities for growth and involvement in the field.

If you are interested in starting a new AESS chapter or joint chapter, please visit the resources on the IEEE website.

How to Start a Chapter

Chapter Engagement

Chapter members have numerous opportunities to engage with AESS through conferences and publications. The society also offers a comprehensive education program, featuring over 30 Distinguished Lecturers and more than 100 talk titles. Additionally, chapters can arrange for a short course instructor to visit and provide specialized training.

Chapter Chair Toolbox

The Chapter Chair Toolbox website provides essential resources for IEEE AESS chapter chairs. It includes information on awards and recognition programs to celebrate outstanding contributions, funding opportunities to support local activities and initiatives, and various other resources aimed at facilitating effective chapter management and member engagement. These tools help chapter chairs enhance their leadership, organize impactful events, and foster a vibrant professional community.

AESS Awards

Awards are a critical part of the IEEE recognition process for its members and others who have provided significant contributions to the advancement of the Aerospace and Electronic Engineering Profession.
