Term
One 2-year term, not eligible for reappointment. The term is concurrent with the immediate past President’s tenure, unless exceptional circumstances, as defined by the Bylaws, require an alternative appointment.

Conditions of Eligibility
Serving as the current Past President.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate nominations for Board of Governors (BoG) and officer positions.
  • Participate in N&A Committee meetings to discuss and finalize the candidate slates.
  • Ensure fair and transparent selection by considering geographic and technical diversity.
  • Recommend a slate of at least 12 nominees for the 8 open BoG positions.
  • Recommend the officer slate, including candidates for President, President-Elect, and other officer positions.
  • Abstain from nominating fellow committee members unless they resign before the first meeting of the year.
  • Support communication efforts, ensuring candidates are notified of selection outcomes.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve future nomination and election processes.

Travel
Is not required for this position.

Expected Meeting Attendance
Virtual committee meeting attendance is required for this position.
